Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Facilities and Asset Management, Organizational Resources and Support Division, located in either Washington, DC or Indianapolis, IN.
Specialized Experience: You qualify for the GS-15 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as: Managing the development and implementation of key administrative programs; Analyzing major programs and applying new hypotheses and concepts to improve effectiveness and efficiency of operations; Providing guidance in areas such as financial operations, logistics, workforce management, awards and recognition, performance management, training, property management, emergency management, and strategic planning to further organizational goals; and Establishing and implementing program goals and objectives and providing leadership to staff. Joining Customs & Border Protection (CBP), Office of Facilities and Asset Management, will allow you to utilize your expertise in both leadership and program management to serve as the Director for the Organizational Resources and Support Division, overseeing high-level administrative and support programs to include workforce management, workforce relations, budget planning and execution, enterprise-level audit oversight, business and program accountability, risk management, acquisition, and logistical support. This position starts at a salary of $146,481.00 (GS-15, Step 1) to $190,424.00 (GS-15, Step 10). Typical Work assignments include: Providing leadership and technical direction for all activities and functions on a diverse range of complex business, financial, administrative, and management support services; Coordinating with executive and senior leadership and subordinate supervisors to establish work unit objectives, goals, priorities, and deadlines and to formulate plans to meet substantial changes in mission priorities; Developing and implementing short and long-range plans to improve delivery, effectiveness, and efficiency of business services and programs; Ensuring full compliance with Congressional, U.S. Code of Federal Regulations, DHS, CBP, and Enterprise Services policies, delegation orders, directives, operating instructions, and general guidance; and Delivering essential mission support and providing data-driven innovative solutions to ensure accountability and enable OFAM mission success.
