Job Description:

You will serve as a Supervisory Emergency Consolidated Dispatcher in the Provost Marshal Division of MARINE CORPS BASE.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Receiving and processing incoming emergency and non-emergency requests (e.g. police, fire, and medical incidents); 2) Coordinating and directing using grid maps to determine unit availability; 3) Operating Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) communication equipment, fire alarm receivers, emergency radio, and security monitoring receivers; and 4) Establishing work assignments, recall rosters, and training for operational readiness. You will be responsible for establishing work assignments, ensuring automated systems are working properly and coordinating dispatch responsibilities to promote expedient and appropriate response by emergency personnel.
You will assign work to subordinates based on the priorities, selective consideration of difficulty, requirements of assignment, and the capabilities of the employee.
You will receive emergency and non-emergency calls and determine the nature and type of the problem/emergency and the number of personnel and type of emergency equipment needed.
You will dispatch Fire/Medical and Police equipment and emergency personnel as needed on the initial response to the scene of the incident by two-way radio communication or telephone.
You will be responsible for ensuring all Communication Dispatch Systems are operational at all times.
You will review and annotate erroneous information obtained in the emergency recall rosters, unit key personnel rosters, and notification points of contacts.
You will verify legitimacy of telephonic notification of false intrusion alarms.
You will scan charts, grid maps, and computer monitors to determine what units are available to respond to the incident.
