Job Description:
You will serve as a HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT (OA) in the CIVILIAN HUMAN RESOURCES OFFICE of MARINE CORPS RECRUIT DEPOT.
GS-06: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Performing technical work related to Human Resources (HR) employee development to include coordinating training surveys, analyzing training reports, and communicating with vendors; AND initiating personnel actions for awards such as Length of Service utilizing HR systems and programs. GS-07: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Performing administrative work related to Human Resources (HR) employee development to include assisting customers troubleshooting HR systems; assisting with coordinating training/career fair events; AND preparing reports utilizing HR systems and programs. You will respond to a variety of inquiries regarding program policy and procedures for identified functional areas.
You will respond to incoming and outgoing correspondence to determine priorities and establishing suspense dates as required.
You will provide information and assistance to employees and supervisors based on interpretations of regulations, policies, instruction, or orders.
You will assist HR Specialists on special projects by gathering and organizing data, identifying issues and discrepancies, formatting material, and recommending improvements and solutions.
You will produce correspondence, memoranda, directives, and reports.
