This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), United States Coast Guard (USCG), located in Alexandria, Virginia.

To qualify at the GS-13 grade level, applicants must have at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the federal sector. Specialized experience must include the following: Leading diverse or cross-functional technical teams of Military, Civilian, and Contractors, managing workloads, setting priorities, and managing full lifecycle of projects and services. IT experience in providing engineering, technical and functional support for unified capabilities applications such as Microsoft 365 or similar cloud applications. IT experience in providing engineering, technical and functional support for on-premise IT applications. Providing deep subject matter expertise used to advise leadership on the IT technical roadmap. In addition to meeting the specialized experience requirement, you must also have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. You will serve as an IT Cybersecurity Specialist (PLCYPLN-INFOSEC), GS-2210-13 responsible for managing IT projects and services. Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Typical work assignments include: Staying abreast of developments and new applications of IT capabilities to make sound recommendations to facilitate upgrades and improvements to meet existing and emerging organizational requirements. Reviewing or conducting audits of information technology (IT) programs and projects to ensure IT systems and services are functioning as designed and remain in compliance with applicable Federal government standards and regulations. Serving as a primary stakeholder and Service Manager for assigned IT systems and services including operational processes and functions that support the systems and services to ensure established IT requirements and Key Performance Indicators are met. Leading and overseeing projects, budget, staffing, and contracting efforts as assigned in the support of IT services and systems to ensure services are delivered as designed. Monitoring and auditing the schedule, cost, design, analysis, operational performance and internal procedures of IT services and systems. Mandatory training is required which must be successfully completed and other training may occur as necessary for success in the position. A. Federal Acquisition Certification for Program and Project Managers Level II (FAC P/PM-II) or management determined equivalent within two years of entry into the position. B. Information Assurance Management Level II (IAM-II) or management determined equivalent within two years of entry into the position.
