About the Position: This position is located under Department of Pharmacy at Irwin Army Community Hospital, Fort Riley, Kansas. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Non-Federal work experience may be creditable for leave purposes.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes utilizing automated supply systems software, monitoring supply budget, and auditing documents for supply budget or pharmaceutical inventory reconciliation. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). OR Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position such as Supply Chain Management or Logistics. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Inventory Management Manages and Organizes Information Supply Planning
Process procurement requests for pharmaceutical supplies requiring frequent technical intervention to ensure patient care is not compromised.
Forecast present and future supply requirements in support of the Military Treatment Facility.
Analyze purchase requests for proper nomenclature, stock number, unit of issue and other pertinent data necessary to properly identify the item.
Utilize a supply system software to process requests and document receipts.
Examine supply metrics in support of Military Treatment Facility.
