Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Field Operations, Cargo and Conveyance Security, Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism.
Experience: You qualify for the GS-14 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as: Providing operational data through a security validation process of public trade entities associated with the program Developing and implementing CBP policies and procedures; and analyzes and resolves difficult national security issues impacting international trade and commerce Reviewing work plans developed by subordinates and subsequently coordinates the overall work to enhance achievement of the goals and objectives Resolving complex or controversial importing and exporting issues, conducting in-depth studies, analyzing trade operations and programs, and developing and implementing guidance on national security issues affecting international commerce Actively participating in high level meetings, conferences and working groups at various classification levels, as applicable, for purposes of assessing and reviewing C-TPAT operations NOTE: Your resume must explicitly indicate how you meet this requirement, otherwise you will be found ineligible. This position will allow you to use your expertise in implementing Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorist (C-TPAT) policies, and analyzing and resolving difficult security problems affecting international commerce.
