About the Position: The Fort Benning Schools are part of the DoDEA Americas Southeast District. We have a total of 5 schools to serve military connected students in PK through grade 8. DoDEA Americas Southeast District operates 24 schools in 4 states across 2 time zones. There are nearly 900,000 military connected children of all ages worldwide, of which nearly 10,000 are enrolled in DoDEA Americas Southeast District schools and served by thousands of teachers and educational aides.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes managing an annual budget; utilizing information systems to gather data; and advising employees on work and administrative matters. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). OR Education: PhD or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M. in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Public Administration or Business Administration. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Administration and Management Financial Management Human Resources Management Planning and Evaluating Research
Administer student and/or staff reports for school administration through an automated system.
Serve as official records manager for the school.
Manage facility programs to ensure compliance to regulatory guidance.
Present specific briefings to management officials and/or staff to support understanding.
Consult with senior expert authorities on issues to implement recommendations.
Maintain forms, process and/or other appropriate documentation.
Coordinate budget execution for presentation.
Draft interpretation of budgetary guidance for staff.
