Job Description:

You will serve as an ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST (Program Manager) in the Program Management Division (GXL), Global Deterrence Defense Dept. (GX) of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER. This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-5 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-14 and GS-15.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower pay band, NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: analyzing and evaluating technical project resource requirements to develop, plan and execute project schedule, milestones and deliverables to improve efficiency and execution of program operations. You will directly support the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering, OUSD (R and E).
You will provide leadership for NSWC Crane and Global Deterrence and Defense Department in the overall resource strategy for program execution.
You will coordinate across Navy, other DoD labs and academia to leverage commonalities and a for the development of technical knowledge in support of specific program fields of study.
You will develop of a comprehensive strategy and roadmap for the national development of a workforce well prepared to support technical fields of interest.
You will utilize knowledge and experience in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) and Education, mentoring and developing others and knowledge of the latest developments of tools in the Secretary of Defense programs.
