Job Description:
You will serve as a SECURITY SPECIALIST in the Naval Oceanographic Office, Office of the Executive Officer (01), Security Management (01N) of NAVOCEANO BAY ST LOUIS.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience performing security surveys to implement and plan specific assignments that comprise part of the overall Special Access Program (SAP) Security Plan to plan, manage, and implement certain security projects and actions. Experience initiating investigations in the event of security violations and compromises of SAP and Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) material. Experience ensuring SAP and SCI material is properly accounted for, controlled, routed, transmitted, destroyed, packaged, and always safeguarded. Experience developing and implementing procedures for reporting security violations or breakdowns in security procedures and correcting deficiencies. Experience conducting security education training to ensure all personnel are up to date on SAP information and ensuring compliance with organization security directives. You will be designated as the Alternate Government Special Access Program Security Officer (AGSSO) for an SAP Facility (SAPF).
You will assist in the planning, managing and implementing all security projects and actions associated with the SAP Facility (SAPF) and SCI Facility (SCIF).
You will review and analyze a wide range of complex security issues.
You will be required to access both Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and Special Access Program (SAP on a daily basis.
You will be required to have a final Top-Secret Clearance based on a Tier 5 (T5) background investigation and be granted full ICD eligibility.
You will conduct security education training ensuring all personnel are continually updated on their responsibilities to safeguard SAP information.
You will be appointed as a Special Security Representative (SSR) for one or more Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIF(s)).
