Job Description:
You will serve as a RIGGING & EQUIPMENT OPERATIONS MANAGER in the Rigging and Equipment Operations Division, Lifting and Handling Department of PSNS and IMF.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: planning, developing and managing crane or rigging production projects for the repair, overhaul or modification of industrial ships. You will manage and direct the combined efforts for the rigging and equipment operations division.
You will be responsible for maintaining a trained and qualified workforce to perform lifting and handling operations relative to trade, skill, requirement and content of workload.
You will develop, maintain, and continuously improve shop and trade processes, and keep abreast of new developments which could affect processes and operations.
You will develop long-range plans to ensure rigging and crane assets will match future mission workload and changes in workload.
You will develop manpower planning and personnel management programs, and make multi-year forecasts of the number of employees and specific skills required to support overhaul and nuclear refueling work.
You will represent the Shipyard in contact with NAVSEA, NAVFAC, and other Shipyards, regarding rigging and operation procedures, technical training, and other matters relating to rigging and equipment operations.
