About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Outdoor Recreation on Ellsworth AFB. This position is considered regular full time. You are guaranteed 35 hours, however, could work up to 40 hours. As a regular employee you are eligible to earn leave and other NAF Benefits. Valid vehicle operator's license is required. This is a drug testing designated position.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Must have experience in setting up multi-day and overnight trips from start to finish leading groups of up to 30+ people. Must have experience in recreation program activities which involves recreation work in the areas of sports, adventures, trips, etc. Strongly prefer familiarity and knowledge of region within 700 mile area surrounding the base. Experience with RecTrac or similar recreation software is desirable.
Plans, organizes, coordinates, schedules, promotes and implements a variety of year-round indoor and outdoor activities through the outdoor recreation center. Sets up and maintains contracts with surrounding local recreational businesses for special interest adventure programs. Produces marketing requests for marketing upcoming programs, and delivers posters/fliers throughout base facilities. Provides estimated cost data and itinerary for planned activities. Oversees the Information, Tickets and Tours program, contacting potential customers to assist in selecting the desired recreational packages. Insures safe transport of participants on long multi-day, overnight outings. Operates multi-passenger vehicles in support of recreation activities and trips.
