You will serve as an Engineer/Scientist in the Cybersecurity Engineering Branch (GXVM), Trusted Microelectronics Division (GXV), Global Deterrence Defense Dept (GX) of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER. The ND-05 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to the GS-14/15. The salary range shown above represents all of the positions within the band, including high grade positions. The salary for the ND-05 position may be limited to a GS-14 Step 10 (based on geographic location).
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the ND-04 (GS-12/13 equivalency) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: as a professional engineer or scientist analyzing and evaluating technical project resource requirements to develop, plan and execute project schedule, milestones and deliverables to improve efficiency and execution of program operations. You will serve as the recognized Systems Security Principal Engineer (PE) in the Trusted Microelectronics Division (GXV), Systems Security Engineering Branch (GXVM).
You will serve to guide and support primarily the systems security engineers of GXVM and secondarily the program offices going through the acquisition process.
You will stay abreast of the everchanging Systems Security Engineering (SSE) landscape in the focus areas of Anti-Tamper (AT), Hardware Assurance (HwA), and Hardware Cybersecurity (HwCS).
You will be expected to fulfill other leadership roles in AT, HwA, and/or HwCS throughout the DoD.
You will support the development of a multiyear strategic vision covering the development, maintenance, and improvement of key capabilities and processes that directly support the Division and Department’s ability to effectively execute SSE services.
You will participate as the NSWC Crane representative on working groups, both internally and externally, associated with this support area, and coordinate working group action items/outcomes with the GXVM BM, AT CHENG, and/or HwA CHENG, as needed.
You will manage the execution of associated projects and report progress to the GXVM BM on a frequent basis.
You will write proposals for new and existing customers, and coordinate submissions with the GXVM BM and the responsible task manager.
You will participate in visitor presentations and tours.
You will participate in the professional development of government and contractor employees by providing mentoring and guidance in SSE.
You will be responsible for selecting, developing, and/or maintaining the development curriculum and other on-the-job training for GXVM under the cognizance of the GXVM BM.
