About the position: This position will be assigned to the Arts & Crafts Center at Nellis AFB, Nevada. Flexible employees have no guaranteed hours but may work up to 40 hours per week. This position does not offer benefits. Must be able to lift and carry items up to and including 40 pounds. Requires continuous standing, walking, and stooping. Subject to metal and wood splinters, adhesives, paint fumes, cuts, burns, and bruises. May work uncommon work schedule, to include weekends.

Qualifying Experience: Experience with one of the following sections: embroidery, sublimation, engraving, laser engraving, and graphic design software, especially Corel Draw is highly desirable. Ability to read, write, spell, and perform basic math and measurements is highly desirable. Must have a clear speaking voice and be able to deal with the public.
Assists assigned personnel in all areas of the Arts and Crafts Center and may assist as a backup to the personnel at the Auto Hobby Shop. Required to operate all or some of the following equipment within the building, to include engravers, embroiderer, sublimation, mat cutting machines, heat presses, metal cutter, printer/copier, and industrial/hand tools. Assists customers in placing orders across all sections within the facility. Maintains security of all merchandise, equipment and funds assigned to the facility. Provides professional customer service, answers telephone calls disseminating information to the appropriate section, and assists shop users with craft skill development and work procedures. Assists manager if needed with daily deposits, paperwork inventory/purchasing input, inventory reports, TBCC processing and other routine correspondence. Maintains clean, neat, and safe work area.
