To qualify for the Supervisory Distribution Facilities Specialist, PG -2030-14, you must meet the following requirements: Applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the PG-13 grade level in the Federal Service that includes: Supervising or Managing a warehouse or distribution center operations to include receiving, storing, packing, inventory control and shipping; communicating and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure operational needs and deadlines are met; evaluating operational needs of the organization such as fleet management, financial management, manpower, and warehousing and storage requirements; and writing and implementing standard operating procedures for an organization, division, or section. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Directs, coordinates, and supervises components of the Department which includes planning, controlling, and overseeing the activities of the Secure Shipping and Inventory Section.
Manages, coordinates, and implements functions pertaining to the division’s supply chain operation.
Establishes strategic short and long-term facility planning and manages the annual operating budget according to the priorities of the agency.
Provides technical, managerial, and administrative direction for problem definition, analysis, requirements development, and implementation of complex to extremely complex facilities and business issues.
Exercises administrative control over the Department; responsible for the performance of personnel management functions within the Department including recommending policy, personnel, and resource needs.
