Job Description:

You will serve as a COST ESTIMATING TEAM LEAD (INTERDISCIPLINARY) in the Cost Estimating and Analysis Branch of STRATEGIC SYSTEMS PROGRAMS.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-03 (GS-13 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: executing the generation and evaluation of life-cycle cost estimates to ensure resource availability or enable business case analyses for weapons system programs or other national security acquisitions. You will be responsible for translating system technical and programmatic information as provided by engineering staff and industry partners into high-quality cost estimates.
You will provide leadership and guidance to a team of cost estimating professionals consisting of engineers, industrial engineers, and/or operations research analysts along with skilled staff of support contractors.
You will ensure that proposals and contracts reflect accurate cost requirements and to obtain additional information needed to perform cost estimating and analysis functions.
You will be responsible for team development, review, and coordination of assigned cost estimating and analysis products and services, supporting SSP acquisition program(s) and initiatives and other reporting requirements.
You will contribute to the development of databases and cost models comprised of commercial off the shelf hardware and software and tailored as appropriate.
