Job Description:
The primary purpose of this position is to provide direct operational assistance to the Food & Beverage Facility Director and Operation Manager. This position is located in the Community Support Program, Dining Services.
A minimum of one (1) year experience which provides knowledge of club, restaurant, business operations, or equivalent leadership experience. Experience is required in an office environment with progressive responsibilities or related education. Knowledge and understanding of applicable regulations, policies, principles, and procedures. Must have ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, and to provide work direction to other employees. Must have ability to use initiative, discretion, and independent judgment in making decisions. Must be people-orientated and have an excellent sense of customer relations. Must possess a courteous, tactful and diplomatic demeanor. Skill in computer data entry is desired and must have knowledge of software applications such as but not limited to Word and Excel.
Monitors operations of a club or assigned area normally during absence of the manager and/or assistant manager by: Preparing reports of significant occurrences during the shift. Assures patron satisfaction by resolving complaints and other customer issues. Inspects and secures facility at the end of the shift. Maintains and enforces security for funds, merchandise, supplies, equipment and property in accordance with directives and regulations. Must be alert to alcohol abuse and take appropriate action. Performs other related duties as assigned.
