You will serve as a MANAGER in the TERMINAL DEFENSE SYSTEMS DIVISION, SENSORS WEAPONS & LAUNCHERS DEPARTMENT of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER. The President has ordered a government-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the hiring freeze. Although we are moving forward with the consideration of candidates, we will not make a selection for this vacancy announcement unless and until the position is no longer subject to the hiring freeze.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-05 pay band (GS-13/14 grade level equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Leading the planning and execution of technical analysis for the test and evaluation of electronic equipment, systems, or associated components, for the integration of ship combat weapons systems. You will provide technical expertise and knowledge to support senior management in planning for future requirements, including equipment, facilities, and staffing needs.
You will identify budget requirements and collaborate with Program Officers to allocate and manage approved funds.
You will leverage expertise knowledge to manage the integration, testing, evaluation, and assessment of Navy's Surface Ship Combat/Weapons Systems.
You will manage systems and equipment critical for carrying, launching, and delivering ordnance, such as missiles, fire control systems, launchers, gun systems, radar, simulations, and trainers.
You will oversee the integration of all interfaces within ship combat systems and warfare elements.
You will lead and direct the planning, implementation, and management of technical programs and functions within the division, ensuring effective coordination and performance of personnel
