Job Description:

You will serve as an Engineering Technician in the Test and Work Control Division in the Engineering and Planning Department of PSNS and IMF.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: applying technical engineering principles, practices, techniques, and procedures to develop mechanical and electrical system isolation and tagout process by overseeing control system conditions and the transfer of ship systems operations (such as Work Authorization Form (WAF), testing, system operations, tagout, Tagout Users Manual (TUM)) for ship or submarine system repair, overhaul, or maintenance projects. You will be the assistant to the Chief Test Engineer (CTE) Non-Nuclear for administrative and technical control of the non-nuclear test and work control programs.
You will provide direct technical oversight of non-nuclear testing, control of system conditions and the transfer of ships systems operation and work controls during the overhaul.
You will provide day-to-day management, control, and direction of the non-nuclear work control and test program.
You will obtain and maintain the status of all in process and upcoming production work and test.
You will direct execution of authorized procedures as necessary to establish system conditions required for work, maintenance and testing.
You will approve, monitor and provide technical oversight during test evolutions and ensure procedural compliance is followed.
