About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Marketing of Sheppard AFB, Texas. Must possess a valid Driver's License. Must be able to work, days, nights, weekends and holidays as needed.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Must have progressively responsible professional photography/videography experience with a portfolio showcasing a diverse collection of well-executed photos and videos. An undergraduate degree in communications, news media, public relations or a related field is strongly desired. Must have experience using Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere Pro, After Effect, Photoshop, Lightroom, etc.) or other editing software. Must have experience operating a variety of cameras and video equipment. Condition(s) of Employment: Successful completion and favorable adjudication of applicable background investigation (Tier I Level) is required. Must be able to read, write and speak English. Must be able to work days, nights, weekends and holidays as needed to support events/programs. Must possess a valid driver's license. Position is a drug testing designated position; subject to random testing for drug use. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:
Works under the guidance of the Marketing Director to create or modify computer images and/or graphics, develop storyboards, artwork, and other production elements to create videos and photographs. Reviews and edits photos and scripts for coordination and continuity of audiovisual productions and ensures content properly reflects FSS communication themes and messages. Selects scenes and messages to be photographed or recorded and determines appropriate background, color, lighting and action. Uses established sources of photography and audiovisual talent and special effects, such as music libraries, stock footage, and post-production services to acquire the elements needed for the production. Selects, digitizes, and edits source materials for assigned projects. Reviews and edits scripts to ensure production will meet FSS goals and ensure compliance with FSS communication themes and messages, protocols, and policy. Evaluates raw footage for storyline, studies the script, and accurately prepares script breakdown identifying shot lists, scenes, action, camera angles, and desires effects. Reviews program segments and edits media to enhance visual image quality, to meet required program length, and/or to accomplish communication goals while meeting industry standards. Prepares video to combine visual and audio elements and incorporate common special effects and graphics. Edits and mixes audio and visual recordings and related materials, such as animation, computer graphics, and digital video effects to produce a finished product. Operates standard photography and motion picture photography equipment; determines camera angles, proper shot sequencing, and audio and lighting requirements. Researches subject matter, establishes equipment requirements, and sets up peripheral lighting and sound equipment. Arranges for special assignments based on knowledge of requirements and available equipment options. Attends community and activity events/programs as required to optimize photography and videography about the event/program. May operate a government vehicle to include light truck, sedan, golf cart, etc. Performs other assigned duties as required.
