Job Description:

You will serve as Principal Technical Manager for the White Sands Department of the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Port Hueneme Division (NSWC PHD) in White Sands, New Mexico.
The applicant is to provide a separate narrative statement which describes fully, but concisely, how his/her experience supports each of the following Mandatory Technical Qualifications. Each technical qualification narrative should not exceed 2 pages. Failure to address these specific qualifications in a separate narrative statement will eliminate you from consideration: 1. Strong science and technology background in an engineering discipline with an emphasis on missile defense technologies and other shipboard weapons and senor integration. 2. Strong background in acquisition program management and understanding of hazards associated with naval combat systems. 3. Knowledge of the Department of Defense acquisition process. 4. Knowledge of research and development (R&D), test and evaluation (T&E) and life cycle sustainment in Sub-orbital vehicle systems, Ballistic Missile Targets, and Hypersonic research. 5. Ability to negotiate complex solutions within specific functional areas with major stakeholders. You will provide advanced Scientific and technical guidance and recommendations to top-level management officials and to the command.
You will provide technical and managerial direction over research and development, test and evaluation, and life cycle sustainment areas such as Sub-orbital Vehicle systems, Ballistic Missile Targets, and Nuclear Surety.
You will provide expertise in land-based test and evaluation of full-scale test facility programs of air vehicles, rockets, missiles, suborbital vehicles, target technologies and other shipboard weapons, sensor interoperability and integration.
You will identify maturing technologies for implementation and integration and establish requirements for future surface combat systems based on emerging threats and required capabilities.
You will oversee all efforts and aspects of land and sea-based testing of naval surface weapons, sensors and combat systems.
