Job Description:
You will serve as the Principal Technical Manager for Electromagnetic Spectrum Warfare Systems Department, Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC), Crane Division.
The applicant is to provide a separate narrative statement which describes fully, but concisely, how his/her experience supports each of the following Mandatory Technical Qualifications. Each technical qualification narrative should not exceed 2 pages. Failure to address these specific qualifications in a separate narrative statement will eliminate you from consideration: 1. Knowledge in broad areas of surface electromagnetic warfare, airborne electromagnetic warfare, platform protection and countermeasures technologies. The functional areas include: (1) Science and Technology, (2) Research and Development, (3) Test and Evaluation, acquisition, and (4) Program Management. 2. Ability to negotiate complex solutions with stakeholders within specific functional areas of Electromagnetic Warfare, Platform Protection and Countermeasures Technologies. 3. Ability to strategically assess and prioritize current and future mission requirements, capabilities, and workload in Naval Electromagnetic Warfare. 4. Ability to develop organizational vision and lead strategic change that integrates key programmatic, Department of Navy, and Department of Defense strategies and goals. 5. Knowledge of business and financial management systems and principles, and the ability to plan and direct technical and business functions. You will provide national technical leadership and establish direction for programs in science and technology, research and development, acquisition support, test and evaluation, and in-service programs related to Electromagnetic Spectrum Warfare.
You will provide support for applied research requirements analysis, systems engineering, design development, rapid prototyping, test and evaluation acquisition, integration, logistics, fielding and in-service support.
You will oversee the application of technical discoveries and improvements into new products and technical insertion programs for assigned Technical Capability areas.
You will lead life cycle support functions and rapid experimentation and integration to provide safe, reliable, and effective electromagnetic spectrum warfare hardware and associated software for crewed, uncrewed, and autonomous systems.
You will develop strategic capabilities to fill gaps within Threat Base Knowledge, Science and Technology, Connectivity and Experimentation Capability within defined Technical Capabilities related to electromagnetic spectrum warfare.
