Job Description:
You will serve as Principal Technical Manager for Expeditionary Warfare Weapons and Energy Systems for Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC), Crane Division.
The applicant is to provide a separate narrative statement which describes fully, but concisely, how his/her experience supports each of the following Mandatory Technical Qualifications. Each technical qualification narrative should not exceed 2 pages. Failure to address these specific qualifications in a separate narrative statement will eliminate you from consideration: 1. Demonstrated technical knowledge in areas of expeditionary warfare hardware and software including Weapons Systems, Weapons Payload-Platform Integration, Specialized Munitions, Autonomous Systems, and Power/Energy Systems. Functional areas include: (1) Science and Technology, (2) Research and Development, (3) Test and Evaluation, acquisition, and (4) Program Management. 2. Demonstrated ability to negotiate complex solutions to achieve desired results with broad range of stakeholders across specific technical areas of Expeditionary Warfare, Weapons Payload-Platform Integration, Power/Energy Systems and Autonomous Systems. 3. Demonstrated ability to strategically assess and prioritize current and future mission requirements, threats, capability gaps, and workload in Expeditionary Warfare, Power/Energy, and Autonomous Systems. 4. Demonstrated ability to develop organizational vision and lead strategic change that integrates key programmatic, Department of Navy, and Department of Defense strategies and goals. 5. Demonstrated knowledge of business and financial management systems and principles, and the ability to plan and direct technical and business functions to achieve desired results. You will provide managerial direction for programs involving science and technology, research and development, acquisition support, test and evaluation, and in-service programs in the area of Expeditionary Warfare Weapons and Energy Systems.
You will develop strategic capabilities to fill gaps within Threat Base Knowledge, Science and Technology, Connectivity and Experimentation Capability within defined Technical Capabilities related to Expeditionary Warfare Weapons and Energy systems.
You will oversee the development of concepts and ideas in the Technical Capability areas of Expeditionary Warfare and Power and Energy Systems.
You will provide technical leadership to provide safe, reliable, and effective special expeditionary warfare hardware and software including Weapons Systems, Weapons Platform Integration and Power and Energy for expeditionary forces.
You will review and influence the approval of Naval Innovative Science and Engineering (NISE) program projects, Capital Investment Programs (CIP) and other Expeditionary Warfare investments to enable and nurture future research and development work.
