Job Description:

You will serve as a BUSINESS MANAGER II in the LIFTING & HANDLING DEPARTMENT of PSNS and IMF. The Secretary of Defense has ordered a department-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the DoD hiring freeze. Offers of employment related to this vacancy announcement will not be executed until the position has an approved exemption.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-12) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: evaluating project workforce and business planning requirements to develop and implement strategies utilizing available resources to meet production goals and initiatives for shipyard industrial projects. You will plan, analyze, evaluate and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of business and operating programs within the department.
You will coordinate and manage business information, major command briefings or meetings and conduct business case analysis and data research.
You will administer the shipyard's interface with customers and coordinating responses to customers.
You will monitor project financial performance and ensure that projects are executed within budget.
You will use extensive knowledge of business, finance, mission funding, mitigation strategies, and strategic planning for a large multi-mission industrial setting.
You will supervise subordinates and identify developmental and training needs.
