You will serve as a SUPERVISORY ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST (Branch Manager) in the Corporate Operations Department (10), Business & Financial Management Division (10F), within the SWESD BFM Support Branch (10F1) of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER. This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-5 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-14 and GS-15.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower band, NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: evaluating and interpreting financial policies and procedures to identify cost-effective strategies for improved planning and execution of financial management (e.g. cost, funding, fiscal resources) for programs, projects, or initiatives. You will serve as Branch Manager for one of the Financial Management Branches within the Business and Financial Management Division.
You will supervise and oversee government and contractor staff.
You will develop, monitor processes, and oversee execution of the work and employees within the Branch.
You will analyze funding and keep informed on constant changing financial management rules, regulations, and policies.
You will use qualitative and/or quantitative methods to assess and improve program, process, and system effectiveness.
You will administer various projects involving long range planning studies, program analysis, tracking systems, and allocation/commitment of future resources.
