Job Description:
You will serve as an ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN in the PLANNING YARD DEPARTMENT of the ENGINEERING PLANNING DEPARTMENT of PSNS and IMF.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Analyzing technical engineering practices for the assessment, planning, test and evaluation of shipboard equipment and systems to ensure the execution of ship engineering project operations. You will coordinate planning and technical services to identify existing and/or develop technical work documents.
You will monitor work in progress and completed work, to make sure work documents are of acceptable quality and conform to current standards.
You will direct job planning and engineering services to prepare or revise work definition documents.
You will troubleshoot, analyze and resolve technical, administrative, financial and scheduling problems related to assigned work.
You will provide training on industrial planning and estimating processes, as needed.
