Job Description:
The Logistics Management Analyst will reside in the Office of Administrative & Management Services, Office of the Associate Administrator for Administration. The employee will be responsible for the life cycle logistics of nonexpendable personal property, maintaining assets in the property system, and providing data management for fleet. Also, to evaluate findings and recommend effective and economical ways to meet program goals for personal property and fleet management programs.
To meet the minimum qualifications for this position, you must meet the specialized experience qualifications. To qualify for the Grade 13, you must have at least one year of experience equal or equivalent to the GS-12, it must include: Experience integrating the actions of a variety of specialized support activities (i.e., updating fleet inventory and data; performing inventory controls for accountable assets) in the areas of fleet and personal property to develop comprehensive logistics plans. Experience managing logistical programs to include asset lifecycle management, generating tracking reports, and utilizing systems for tracking accountable property from acquisition to disposition to ensure full use of resources. Experience providing guidance and recommendations to senior officials and managers regarding the effectiveness and efficiency of logistics operations and policy. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: Demonstrated ability to provide recommendations, guidance, and data to employees and managers related to functions within an organization. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with high level officials and employees, work with changing priorities, and respond to short deadlines and requests for information. Demonstrated ability to plan, initiate, and analyze comprehensive life cycle logistics, and to develop controls and validation methods for property management. Demonstrated experience and ability to provide logistical and operations support for fleet management. Ability to communicate and work efficiently and effectively, independently and collaboratively within a technical operation. As a Logistics Management Analyst, you will: Monitor and prepare reports for safety recalls on fleet vehicles; assure a support program that is responsive to addressing recalls and consistent with Department of Transportation (DOT) policy and Communicate with fleet and GSA representatives as necessary to address repairs and corrections under vehicle warranty. Provide data management and analysis for fleet inventory. Represent NHTSA at Departmental fleet meetings. Review correspondence and report requirements; prepares and submits reports and requests for information. Plan and execute a comprehensive, total life cycle logistics support for assigned systems. Coordinate functions with government property managers to ensure effective utilization, protection, and control of assigned property. The ideal candidate for this position possesses critical problem-solving and analytical skills, and the ability to continuously adapt to changing priorities. The candidate will also work cooperatively across NHTSA program offices and with other DOT OAs throughout the organization to accomplish agency goals and initiatives.
