Opportunity
We are looking for a Channel Manager on the Professional Channel Marketing Team to support Kohler’s wholesale customers with emphasis on the showroom channel. We are a customer-centric organization, and we are looking for a passionate, accountable individual to plan and execute marketing strategies and tactics.
The Channel Manager – Professional Channel is responsible for identifying customer needs and business opportunities and developing and implementing the long and short-term marketing strategies to grow sales and increase market share and profitability with key Professional Channel customers. Upon execution of key marketing tactics this role will be responsible to evaluate results and sharing key learnings and insights with the Professional Channel Team, cross functional partners, Kohler Leadership, external customers, and other key partners.
Primary Objectives of Position
Function as a leader in all facets of key Showroom businesses; understands channel and owns communication to the customer and business results.Contribute to the growth and profitability of the Showroom business through development and implementation of short-term marketing plans and long-term strategies.Plan, forecast, and implement marketing programs and promotions for the channel based on performance, profitability, and volume contribution analysis. Lead all marketing and media activities for assigned Showrooms. Properly present and protect the Kohler brand in the wholesale channel including showrooms.Develop programs for customers and consumers to drive sales through the wholesale channel. Use SalesForce & Marketing Cloud to connect campaigns to the customer. Recommend revision to programs through study of overall business.Build and maintain marketing strategies and key stakeholder relationships that ensure Kohler Company meets and/or exceeds the end customer’s needs, demands, and desires while delivering an appropriate margin.Conduct comprehensive and complex market analysis, drawing conclusions from results to drive sales and successful partnerships with Wholesale Distribution including consumer-centric Showrooms.Leads with a data driven mindset by analyzing POS to determine the success of marketing strategies and identify opportunities for improvement to achieve key milestones.Apply marketing fundamentals to practical problem solving, including developing and compiling layers of information and statistics, maintaining on-going files, making recommendations on pricing, marketing strategies, new products, forecasting, and strategic plans for the wholesale channel. Support Kohler by ensuring that marketing strategies and plans are executed to achieve financial plan while avoiding unnecessary and avoidable costs.Accountable for management of the Professional Channel Showroom marketing budget. Plan and measure showroom marketing return on investment to optimize spending.
Collaboration and Team Management
Collaborates with Category Strategy & Brand Marketing Teams to align on Showroom and Business needs, for key marketing campaigns and product launches, focused on growing sales and increasing market share.Works closely with Professional Channel Account Management teams to align on Showroom requests related to marketing and media campaigns.Maintain continuous contact with customers, sales, trade groups and awareness of competitive products, pricing, performance, and market share including trends in product design, architecture, interiors, living environments, etc. for the purpose of recommending product continuance or modifications, market potential in wholesale & showroom, etc.Work cross-functionally with Visual Merchandising and outside vendors to develop and distribute POP/merchandising.Works closely with the Communications organization to ensure content and creative delivers against our commitments for speed and quality.Partner with Supply Chain on Demand Planning and Promotional Planning to ensure appropriate supply to support marketing investments.Engage with the Performance Marketing organization to test and learn new and existing marketing tactics.Act as a champion in carrying out and communicating management’s strategies and goals throughout the business and a go to for counsel.Work across functional areas to see the “big picture.”Display initiative to remove obstacles.Assist with any other special projects dealing with an existing and/or potential product line, channel, or customer.
