Job Description:

You will serve as a PUBLIC AFFAIRS SPECIALIST in the MARINE CORPS INSTALLATIONS COMMAND of MARCORPS NATIONAL CAPITAL REGION. The President has ordered a government-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the hiring freeze. Although we are moving forward with the consideration of candidates, we will not make a selection for this vacancy announcement unless and until the position is no longer subject to the hiring freeze.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: developing, managing and leading communication planning efforts, crafting communication principles, methods, practices and techniques; organizational communication, and social media and Internet-based capabilities; and knowledge in digital media techniques, methods, research and analysis. You will develop enterprise-level social media and internal-based engagement strategies and tactics in direct support of COMMCICOM communication campaigns.
You will research and assess existing and emerging doctrine, directives, policy and legal statutes relating to official and unofficial Marine Corps Internet-based engagements.
You will plan and manage a social media program for an agency, or a significant organizational segment of an agency.
You will develop, coordinate, and propose solutions for resource requirements for conducting complex, enterprise-level research studies.
