Job Description:

THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a PROGRAM ANALYST (TITLE 5), Position Description Number NGT5615P01 and is part of the TN ARMY, National Guard. This vacancy is covered by Association of Civilian Technicians (ACT), Chapter 103 (Volunteer Chapter).
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, training, or knowledge in work that involves developing, analyzing, evaluating, advising, or improving the effectiveness of work methods and procedures, organizations, manpower utilization, distribution of work assignments, management controls, and similar functions of management. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have 24 months or 1-year at the next lower GS level experience, education, or training in administrative, professional, investigative, technical, or other responsible work which demonstrates analytical ability and a practical and theoretical knowledge of the functions, processes, and principles of management; knowledge of the National Guard organizational structures, functions, procedures, and techniques; experience using computer and automation systems.
As a PROGRAM ANALYST, GS-0343-09, you will develop sampling plans and procedures for validating unit/activity accountability and inventory certifications. Apply statistical analysis techniques to measure progress, efficiency, and trends impacting the effectiveness of the organization to meet the organizational goals and objectives. Develops processes, management, administrative, and technical evaluation plans for implementation by supervisors/managers. Notes deficiencies, identifies necessary resources, and recommends corrective action. Responsible for on the spot corrective assistance and guidance to unit/activity personnel during the conduct of the evaluation/review. Performs other duties as assigned.
