Key Responsibilities:
As a Cloud Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, testing, and deploying cloud application solutions that integrate cloud and non-cloud infrastructure.
Can deploy infrastructure and platform environments, creates a proof of architecture to test architecture viability, security, and performance.
Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform. Responsible for team decisions.
Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
Master proficiency in VMware and Nutanix and AWS Lambda/Cloud Formation/Administration are required
OS Upgrade / Install experience is a must in various platforms such as AWS, Azure, VMware and Nutanix
Set up of new environment where noted (create servers, configuration, apply security, install agents etc.)
AWS Platform administration using Lambda and Python
AWS ECS, ELB, VPC, Route53, ElastiCache, WorkSpace on AWS
Familiarity with Automation Tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Gitlab, Jenkins, AWS Storage, Elastic File System and AWS PaaS services
Performance analysis on environments (i.e. is the current environment able to handle the existing site/user load)
Additional security requirements on existing environments (service accounts, access changes) and patching
Vulnerabilities Remediation for various applications and OSes and reporting to stakeholders
Mock and cutover support (complete cutover assigned tasks, be available as needed throughout defined periods)
Update documentation for support teams KT (as needed)
Fully hands on and Self Driven
Location Requirements: Please note, this role requires onsite 3 days a week in Dallas, TX.
