Job Description:
You will serve as a Supervisory Industrial Support Specialist of NAVSUP WEAPON SYSTEMS SUPPORT.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector planning, coordinating, and utilizing Aerospace Maintenance and Regeneration Group (AMARG's) industrial facilities to meet Navy Aircraft Mobilization requirements. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Overseeing the processing of aircraft for preservation, storage, removal of equipment, de-preservation, withdrawal, storage process out, disposal, and replacement equipment; 2) Managing the financial resources including preparation and submission of budget input and short and long range workload schedules; 3) Determining Navy requirements for reclamation of parts to fulfill urgent material requests; 4) Providing NAVSUP WSS with aircraft management data on technical problems, trend data, and program progress; 5) Conducting studies and surveys of industrial plants to evaluate capacity and capability for potential production of specific commodities; and 6) Assigning work to subordinates based on employee's capabilities, priorities, difficulty, and carrying out EEO policies. You will execute and maintain status of allocated funds for scheduled/unscheduled aircraft workload assignments.
You will review and approve plans for correspondence concerning the receipt, preservation, storage and modification and maintenance in a flyable condition, of Navy stored aircraft which are required to meet CNO mobilization requirements.
You will oversee and provide technical and administrative guidance on matters involving aircraft storage and preservation and movements (flyaway’s, shipments) to AMARG and various agencies.
You will utilize information of past performance on previous or ongoing requirements and contracts in order to predict future capability and aircraft schedule trends.
You will maintain close contact with senior level technical and managerial personnel from various organizations concerned with inactive aircraft management, storage and preservation.
You will arrange for technical and engineering support from Fleet Repair Centers (depots) to provide AMARG personnel training on new weapon systems added to the Navy inventory at AMARG.
