Job Description:

You will serve as a KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the MARITIME INFORMATION WARFARE DEPARTMENT of OPERATIONAL SUPPORT FACILITY. The Secretary of Defense has ordered a department-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the DoD hiring freeze. Offers of employment related to this vacancy announcement will not be executed until the position has an approved exemption
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector evaluating available resources and tools (e.g. databases, knowledge transfer systems, etc.) through analysis of best practices in Knowledge Management; converting implied knowledge into explicit knowledge to ensure strategies, planning, and execution are in accordance with command policies. You will be responsible for the management of information flow, data management, and content required by the command, with direction provided by the Knowledge Management Officer (KMO), and support to ensure products are effective and timely.
You will identify information exchange requirements (IERs). Develop IER matrix and identify commander's critical information requirements (CCIRs).
You will serve as the Maritime Operations Center (MOC) and/or Joint Operations Center (JOC) and manages multi-national information sharing and collaboration systems.
You will manages and analyzes the command's Battle Rhythm to improve the commander's decision-cycle.
You will manage Knowledge Management (KM) content and integration processes and manages knowledge transfer tools and life-cycles.
