Job Description:

You will serve as a Community Planner in the Public Works Department of Marine Corps Air Station CAMP PEN The Secretary of Defense has ordered a department-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the DoD hiring freeze. Offers of employment related to this vacancy announcement will not be executed until the position has an approved exemption.
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: developing and implementing comprehensive master and long-range plans to guide the strategic development of the facility and meet mission goals, creating project documentation and reports, and managing cross-functional assignments and in the design and planning of complex projects. You will develop Basic Facility Requirements (BFRs) to justify new construction, consolidation, or demolition.
You will review maintenance, repair, and construction planning projects to verify correct execution of the work.
You will conduct technical reviews of facilities planning products (i.e., Basic Facilities Requirements [BFRs], Facilities Support Requirements [FSRs]) to determine if objectives are met.
You will review technical or functional facilities project proposals to verify they satisfy planning or programming criteria specifications (e.g., budgetary requirements and regulatory restrictions).
You will implement the Shore Facilities Planning System (SFPS) to guarantee accurate determinations of facility requirements and the optimum use of existing facilities.
You will support community planning and real estate projects by functioning as the community planner for the development of principal types of plans (e.g., comprehensive plans, functional plans, and project plans).
