This National Guard position is for a SUPERVISORY JOINT OPERATIONS CENTER TECHNICIAN - Title 32, Position Description Number D1244000 and is part of the WI JFHQ J3, Wisconsin National Guard.
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education or training which provided a general knowledge of principles of organization, management, and administration. Compiling reports, letters, memoranda, etc., and required person-to-person contacts to convey information. Progressively responsible experience which demonstrates the ability to provide technical guidance and assistance in the type of work or in comparable work of the position to be filled. Experience using computer and automation systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: To qualify for the GS-0301-10 level, you must have at least 12 months of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Experience, education or training in program or managerial experience in a type of work or a combination of functions directly related to the position to be filled or in comparable work or functions. Experience developing and recommending policy; organizing and carrying out specific programs, evaluating and recommending changes in methods of operations. Must have experience providing technical guidance and assistance in the type of work or in comparable work of the position to be filled. Experience preparing written communications and oral presentations. Experience in managing the function of the work to be performed. Experience which includes leading, directing and assigning work of personnel.
As a SUPERVISORY JOINT OPERATIONS CENTER TECHNICIAN - Title 32, GS-0301-10, you will effectively manage, direct and oversee the operation of the Joint Operations Center processes. Coordinates as necessary with all applicable base agencies, higher headquarters major commands, Federal, state, and local agencies. Employee makes assignments, implements mission changes, ensures the work of the joint operations center is carried out in an efficient and timely manner, and oversees all command and control training programs. Serves as the joint operations center subject matter expert for all joint operation activities. ***Indefinite positions are not permanent and have no guarantee to continued employment. Indefinite employees may be subject to separation from employment at any time with a 30 day written notification. If the position becomes permanent, employee may be converted to a permanent appointment without further competition at management's discretion.***
