You will serve as an Electronics Engineer in the TEST & EVALUATION SYSTEMS DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT division of the TEST RESOURCES ENGINEERING & PLANNING department of NAVUNSEAWARCENDIV KEYPORT WA. The Secretary of Defense has ordered a department-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the DoD hiring freeze. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: as a professional engineer overseeing program management for the test and evaluation of range systems for undersea or surface warfare. You will act as a Systems Engineer and Technical Project/Program Manager, ensuring the successful execution of projects related to Undersea Warfare Research, Design, Test, and Engineering PNW range tracking systems.
You will provide technical leadership as the technical design agent (TDA) and In-Service Engineer (ISE) for all phases of PNW range operations.
You will lead the design, modification, and improvement of complex engineering systems. ensuring alignment with customer requirements and operational needs.
You will proactively identify and analyze customer needs, translating them into actionable electronics design projects.
You will act as a key interface with external partners such as the Applied Research Lab/Penn State University, industry vendors, University Affiliated Research Centers, and other Navy warfare centers.
You will provide technical direction and mentorship to a team of full-performance GS-09/12 engineers.
You will lead project teams in the execution of complex electronics engineering projects, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to customer specifications.
