Job Description:

You will serve as a QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST (SHIPBUILDING) in the AUDIT/PROJECT QUALITY ENGINEER BRANCH, ENGINEERING & ANALYSIS DIVISION, QUALITY ASSURANCE OFFICE of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience applying comprehensive knowledge of quality assurance principles, concepts, and practices as they relate to nuclear powered submarine overhaul. Experience performing reviews of quality analysis reports prepared by other organizations to assess program effectiveness and corrective actions. Experience planning, executing, reporting, and coordinating follow-up activities for audits. Experience writing detailed audit and evaluation reports to cover extensive work evaluations and modifications to major components and portions of SUBSAFE systems to include new installations. Experience applying knowledge of inspections, tests, applicable quality assurance policies and procedures, and the make-up and organizational responsibilities of the major overhaul support organizations. Experience assessing compliance, identifying risks, ad communicating findings effectively both orally and in writing. You will perform reviews of quality analysis reports prepared by other organizations to assess program effectiveness.
You will serve as a senior specialist in support of the Shipyard's non nuclear audit program capable of performing the functions in the branch with minimal supervision.
You will provide management guidance and project team leader services for the development, implementation, and coordination of Quality Assurance projects.
You will perform, lead, and manage PNSY and NAVSEA SUBSAFE Certification Audits of submarine work.
