Job Description:

You will serve as an INSTRUCTIONAL SYSTEMS SPECIALIST at the NAVAL CHAPLAINCY SCHOOL.
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating curriculum, courses, and programs; 2) Utilizing instruction program methods and techniques to plan support requirements (i.e. personnel equipment, facilities, and other resources) for training programs; 3) Advising, managing or directing on major education and/or training programs; 4) Utilizing occupation analysis methods and techniques to analyze occupational data and revise instructional systems or develop new training programs; 5) Creating/revising and managing student databases (e.g. CeTARS). You will analyze course content and target population and validate appropriateness of teaching strategies.
You will develop, coordinate and/or review course control documents, curriculum materials and training materials.
You will advise Training Specialists, course supervisors, training managers, Program Analysts, and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) on the internal and external evaluation, development, revision and management of curricula.
You will establish guidelines and policies for measuring achievement of instructional objectives in training courses.
You will manage test item analysis for courses, ensuring compliance with NETC guidelines.
