Job Description:
You will serve as a REGIONAL CRANE DIVISION MANAGER in the Lifting and Handling Department of PSNS and IMF.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-13) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: managing all phases of weight handling equipment acquisition, maintenance, inspection, and certification by developing project schedules and resource allocation plans to support repair operations and program objectives. You will expedite and assure availability of special equipment, materials, and services critical to the timely and efficient completion of important jobs.
You will plan work assignments considering trades involved, availability of manpower and equipment, deadlines, and other work projects.
You will make recommendations to higher level management when revision or modernization of work techniques is needed.
You will provide information and advice to management regarding projects schedules, budget estimates, changes in production techniques or standards, and equipment and facility requirements to accomplish the work.
You will provide direct input at meetings and conferences and serve as a team member with engineering, production, and other personnel in the initial analysis of long-range work requirements.
You will organize, coordinate, and direct the work and personnel of the units supervised through two to three levels of supervision.
You will eliminate potential bottlenecks to minimize effect of actual work stoppages or delays encountered and reorganize or redirect efforts on lagging jobs to assure completion on schedule.
