About the Position: This position supports the mission of the J-8, Financial Operations Directorate and is located in Falls Church, Virginia. Leave accrual negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal Service. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation Experience with Structured query language (SQL) preferred by management, but not required.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: assisting with implementing internal control programs and test plans, aiding with risk assessments, and monitoring financial systems. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
Implement an entity wide internal control program.
Write risk assessment and conduct testing to determine if internal controls are designed and operating effectively.
Ensure that financial systems are in compliance with the Federal Financial Management Improvement Act of 1996.
Conduct testing to identify fraud, waste, and abuse.
Consolidate submissions from the Medical Treatment Facilities, markets and headquarters.
