To qualify for a IT Specialist (SYSANALYSIS/APPSW), your qualifications must include: A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-13 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS- 12 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in- grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: Provides Senior Information Technology Specialist support for the Electronic Business Systems Engineering office, to include serving as a Senior Global Exchange (GEX) administrator and serves as a senior technical authority in these areas. Creates channels and routes, tracking data through the system, establishing new customer connections, debugging software problems, debugging data flow problems, monitoring the system to ensure it is processing data as expected, coordinating system updates, analyzing new customer requirements, etc. Acts the expert technical authority concerning problems and failures in assigned areas and in participating in diagnosing problems and failures outside of assigned area of responsibility. Routinely reviews the current ADP and/or telecommunications systems, network/ infrastructure environment, software modules and operational procedures along with pertinent market research information to ensure overall system efficiency within the current operating environment and conformance with established operational objectives. Serves as an Electronic Business Systems Engineering (EBUS) Senior Information Technology (IT) specialist with the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Defense Automated Addressing System (DAAS).
Provides technical expertise in assigned areas and is the technical authority for Electronic Business application design, implementation, and maintenance.
Responsible for one or more Automated Data Processing (ADP) systems supporting Electronic Business, including the Global Exchange (GEX) software, and is the expert technical authority for these areas.
Responsible for administering commercial-off-the-shelve (COTS) tools that provide data translation services.
Acts as an expert technical point of contact as part of business driven, cross functional project teams.
Ensures that correct technical resources are available to support system integration requirements in support of the Department of Defense (DoD) community.
