Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience at the GS-12 or equivalent level. Specialized experience must be documented in your resume. Specialized experience includes: Extensive knowledge of government policies on records management and modern management principles, concepts and techniques. Knowledge of how government policies impact organizational and operational efficiency such as records retention and federal records. Knowledge of operation systems and program interrelationships. Ability to communicate - both orally and in writing - to represent management in meetings with government officials, top management and other federal and private organizations Volunteer Experience: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills, and can provide valuable training and experience that translates to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Plans, initiates, develops and executes agency-wide policy, procedure and program development, administration and evaluation of the records and correspondence management with a focus on improving effectiveness and efficiency.
Serves as records officer for the agency including data compliance, management, storage, transfer and guidance.
Manages and provides guidance on correspondence and acts as liaison to the OSD Correspondence Management Office (CMO).
Manages requirements for DCAA implementation and compliance for internal controls of records and correspondence,
(cont.) establishes agency controls, information gathering for improvement, working with legal counsel to mitigate records-related risks and works with others to ensure records management is supported agency-wide.
Manages DCAA records holding area and works with NARA on record retention.
