Job Description:
You will serve as a FABRIC WORKER SUPERVISOR I in the Woodworking Shop, Coating and Services Group, Production Resources Department, of PSNS and IMF.
Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying. Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time. Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the job elements and screen out listed below. This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. You will plan sequence of operations and work steps for employees supervised.
You will plan division of workload amongst employees.
You will inspect work in progress daily and upon completion to ensure quality, efficiency, economy, and safety of operations.
You will estimate materials and equipment required, and coordinate with other trades for services required.
You will ensure that work permits, system tag outs, work instructions, drawings, material, and special tooling are on the job site when needed.
You will resolve problems, accomplishing routine inspection of work in progress and auditing completed work for compliance with appropriate work procedures.
