Job Description:

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST in the Special Warfare & Expeditionary Systems Department (JX), Specialized Munitions Division (JXR), Strategic Munitions and Materials Analysis Branch (JXRL) or Sustainment Branch (JXRP) of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER. This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-5 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-13 and GS-14
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-4 (GS-11/12 grade equivalency) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing oversight and direction on the design, development, and testing of strategic munitions systems to plan and execute schedules, strategies, and goals for the success of projects or programs and producing quality deliverables for customers. You will be responsible for the effectiveness, efficiency, productivity, and the development/implementation of the Branch’s policies/procedures to support Strategic Sytems Program Office, PEO Integrated Weapon Systems (IWS) and munitions portfolios.
You will develop and maintain long/short-term planning for funding, human resources, facilities and equipment.
You will develop schedules/milestones that support current and future infrastructure and plans for growth.
You will demonstrate extensive in-depth technical knowledge of all programs/projects/systems within the organization to be able to capitalize on the effectiveness, efficiency and productivity of these programs.
You will anticipate and analyze risks to resources, products, programs and processes and implements effective control measures.
You will monitor and coordinate tasking and continuous work for the branch’s internal and external customers.
You will develop procedures to improve the quality of services, products and processes for customers.
You will direct the design, development, and testing of strategic munitions systems.
You will define evaluation criteria and continuously assesses progress for employees toward the goals for the above project and other existing or new projects.
You will research and prepare reports, correspondence, and procurement documents.
You will analyze, research and prepare technical reports and publications, attend meetings and conferences and exchange information with other engineers and managers.
You will monitor contract work performance through correspondence and personal contacts, interfacing with internal and external customers.
