Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: ALL LEVELS Must be a high school graduate, or equivalent; and be able to provide proof (i.e., diploma or equivalent) for verification. AND CY PROGRAM ASSISTANT (TARGET LEVEL): 18 months working in any childcare or youth program. Completion of DoD approved competency-training courses. Additionally, entry and intermediate level training must be completed and evident by Service-issued documentation. 18 months of experience working in a childcare or youth program, plus possession and maintenance of one of the following directly related to the age group of the position to which assigned: child development associate credential, military school age credential, or other nationally recognized youth development credential. 18 months of experience working in a childcare or youth program, plus an associate degree that includes a major course of study (24 credit hours) with content directly related to the age group to which assigned, from a regionally or nationally accredited college or university. Possession and maintenance of one of the following directly related to the age group of the position to which assigned: child development associate credential, military school age credential, Army youth practicum or other nationally recognized youth development credential. A bachelor's degree or at least 120 semester hours with a major course of study (24 credit hours) from a regionally or nationally accredited college or university with content directly related to: early childhood education, child development, youth development, human development, elementary education, special education, secondary education, youth program administration, recreation, and physical education. CY PROGRAM ASSISTANT (INTERMEDIATE LEVEL): Six months experience equivalent to the CY-01 Entry Level working in a group program for children or youth AND Completion of 3 AF modules (or equivalent) AND AF Orientation Training Program. CY PROGRAM ASSISTANT (ENTRY LEVEL): This is an entry level position; no previous experience required.
Introductory Statement: The primary purpose of this position is to provide supervision of the Hurlburt Field USDA Child and Adult Care Food Program and functions as the central registrar for the Resource and Referral office. Duties and Responsibilities: Directs, plans and develops policy objective for the CACFP implementation by Family Child Care (FCC) provider and Family Member Program (FMP) staff. Provides guidance on policies and procedures; monitors all aspects of program performance and ensures program agreements are carried out IAW appropriate guidelines. Contacts potential FCC providers and encourages their participation in the CACFP, typically through FCC Orientation. Serves as liaison between CACFP and other base and local organizations that represent the best interest of the program. Monitors all participation of FCC providers and FMP staff. Determines quality and quantity of meals served to children. Provides specific guidance to providers/staff for ensuring proper performance of specified duties. Inspects and evaluates all pertinent records which relate to CACFP; provides assistant as needed. Maintains files on participating providers and FMP activities. Designs and develops forms as needed for program use. Reviews and approves all menus. Responsible for all fiscal operations; develops budget plans and amendments and oversees budget execution. Responsible for maintaining data from participating providers and convert this data into claims for reimbursement. Submits all required reports to regional USDA office. Complies with all CACFP directives and participates as required in USDA Audits. Develops, adapts, and implements procedures and other resources to be used by the providers/staff to support program goals and objectives. Identifies potential problem areas, plans and initiates corrective action as needed. Provides guidance/instruction to other program personnel as required. Accomplishes all necessary requirements for childcare enrollment on the installation. Reports all enrollments, transfers or terminations of care to program managers. Completes all initial patron registration forms and notifies the appropriate childcare program of new enrollments. Establishes and monitors several different waiting lists for children ages 6 weeks through 12 years of age and ensure proper maintenance. Prepares weekly roster of enrolled children and ensures information is provided to each center. Tracks and maintains all enrollments and registrations of patrons for the child development programs, family childcare homes and school-age programs. Uses database or spreadsheet software to enter, revise, sort or calculate, and retrieve data for standard reports. Prepares schedules and conducts regular training workshops in nutrition education and other pertinent topics to all providers and staff. Performs other related duties as assigned.
