Job Description:
You will serve as a TECHNICAL PROJECT MANAGER in the Combat Systems Alignment, Self Defense Test Ship, Combat Systems Capabilities and Limitations of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the ND-04 pay band (GS-12/13 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: as a professional Engineer managing projects or operations for the development, maintenance, or sustainment of combat or weapon systems on surface ships to ensure compliance with established specification requirements. You will organize, plan, assign, and direct new ongoing work; set objectives; resolve work problems, and provide overall knowledge of CSA engineering principles and practices in support of Navy's Surface Ship Combat and Weapon Systems.
You will plan, manage, and lead large and complex projects involving leadership of technical teams including engineers, technicians, and logisticians.
You will contribute to the development, maintenance/evolution, and execution of Command policy, strategy, and initiatives in support of today's mission as well as the evolution of mission to support tomorrow's warfighters.
You will provide on-going, proactive engagement with the RMCs to ensure common CSA execution and collaboration and ensure that portfolio directorates maintain satisfactory CSA program for all current/future ship classes.
You will managing high visibility or urgent alignment related investigations, studies, projects, etc.
You will formulate approaches and proposals to all program tasks and negotiate and discuss both technical and budget program plans.
You will review and evaluate all assigned program functions, resolve schedules, monitor technical performance, and analyze new developments for potential application to program requirements; and assess, track, and mitigate risk.
