GS-05: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: experience in the areas of financial account maintenance; accounts receivable; and accounts payable items. GS-06: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: technical work in support of the receipt, disbursement, examination, deposit and custody of cash items which includes handling cash items or use of cash accountability control methods. You will perform account maintenance and accounting support work.
You will examination of documents for accuracy, adequacy of documentation, compliance with regulations for goods and services provided to or by the Government.
You will determine pay, payroll records maintenance and completion of reports pertaining to civilian employees of the Federal Government.
You will answer requests and provide advice to employees, supervisors, staff in other financial management series and personnel specialists on pay related rules, regulations, and procedures.
You will verify cash items, the acceptability of required supporting documents, and cash processing procedures of Federal agencies and commercial institutions.
You will work with accounting systems and standard accounting codes.
