To qualify for a Traffic Management Specialist, your resume and supporting documentation must support: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in, or related to, this position. To qualify for the NH-04 level, specialized experience must be at the NH-03 or GS-13 grade level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: Communicating ideas, proposed innovations, and "lessons learned" to Senior Transportation leaders that will enhance the overall efficiency and effectiveness of operations. Applying transportation concepts, principles, and methodology applicable to the transportation of weapons systems, sustainment parts supporting weapon systems, and other critical items. Ensuring customers are receiving effective transportation planning and execution support to ensure mission success.
Serves as the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) Transportation and Liaison Officer/Representative (LNO) to USTRANSCOM for the distribution of Department of Defense (DoD) materiel moving within the Defense Transportation System.
Identifies and evaluates performance metrics utilized by the customer activity and advises and briefs the activity on performance metrics as they pertain to the customer.
Advises officials at the COCOM activity (e.g., AMC, SDDC, MSC, Deployment Distribution Operations Center (DDOC) Chiefs, and their immediate staffs) of DCMA capabilities and potential contributions in the transportation phase of the acquisition cycle.
Identifies overarching customer outcomes, critical assets, and key suppliers and shares this information with the appropriate Transportation Office, CMOs, and Product Sectors.
Supports Transportation Group and Transportation Performance Advocate to define customer outcomes that are related to end-to-end distribution.
