Job Description:

You will serve as either an ELECTRICAL ENGINEER, COMPUTER ENGINEER, ELECTRONICS ENGINEER, or COMPUTER SCIENTIST in the MISSION SYSTEMS GROUP, AVIONICS ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT, CORE AVIONICS ENGINEERING DIVISION, FLIGHT SAFETY and AIRSPACE INTEGRATION BRANCH of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Working knowledge of Collision Avoidance Systems and Transponders, ground stations, and Radar systems; 2) Serving as a subject matter expert responsible for leading complex systems development, acquisition, and integration of various platforms; and 3) Leading a team consisting of other subject matter experts. You will provide support for the Certification of Avionics Systems and provide subject matter expertise in support of Airworthiness processes.
You will provide technical design, development, integration, qualification, production, and in-service support of avionics systems such as SAA Radar, Ground Station Interfaces, TCAS/Antenna/Flight Management/Display Systems, and IFF.
You will prepare avionics system specifications, statements of work, Contractor Data Deliverable Lists, Engineering Change Proposals, Technical Directives, and other documentation technically required to execute duties.
You will prepare engineering technical strategies and plans such as technical roadmaps, engineering staffing and development plans, and strategies to address avionics diminishing manufacturing sources and material shortages (DMSMS).
You will provide technical analyses in support of trade-off studies, engineering investigations, hardware and software architectures, hardware and software compatibility, avionics software and hardware modifications, and related upgrades.
You will liaison with other aviation technical communities for in-service technical problems including integrated logistic support reviews, design reviews, in-process technical manual reviews and reliability and maintainability reviews.
