Job Description:
You will serve as a Staff Supervisor and principal advisor to the Executive Director and Director of Staff (N02) at COMMANDER US PACIFIC FLEET.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: developing studies (e.g., mathematical models, random phenomena, probability, statistics, experimental theories); applying qualitative and quantitative analysis techniques to evaluate mission-oriented programs (e.g., Acquisition, Intelligence, Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence (C4I), Information Technology, Military Personnel, Civilian Personnel, Administrative Support, Financial Management, Contracting) to bring about strategic change and meet organizational goals in a continuously changing environment. You will provide direct technical and administrative supervision to a staff of active duty and civilian personnel.
You will plan work to be accomplished by subordinates; set and adjust short-term priorities, and prepare schedules for completion of work; develop performance standards.
You will find and implement ways to eliminate or reduce significant bottlenecks and barriers to production, promote team building, or improve business practices.
You will make decisions on non-routine, costly, or controversial training needs and training requests related to employees of the unit.
You will manage and oversee effective execution of all actions required to support the Executive Director and Director of Staff (N02) in their leading role and advisor on resource and readiness integration with USPACFLT.
You will be responsible to the N02 for development, integration and execution of program and resourcing policies, procedures and plans.
You will serve as an authority on cross-enterprise transformation, policies and initiatives, in the overall integration, coordination, formulation presentation and justification of fleet transformation and change management.
