Job Description:
You will serve as an Administrative/Technical Specialist in the Combat Systems Integration, Test & Evaluation Department of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER. You will serve as the Department Chief Logistician (DCHELO) This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. NT-06 is equivalent to GS-14/15.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-05 (GS-13/14 equivalent) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector planning, coordinating, or analyzing Integrated Product Support (IPS) or Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) programs for the acquisition or lifecycle sustainment of naval ship combat or weapon systems. You will, as Department Chief Logistician (DCHELO), expertly manage and execute Integrated Product Support (IPS) processes, policies, and procedures, providing guidance and quality assurance for all departmental logistics processes.
You will analyze Department of Navy (DoN), programmatic, and Fleet requirements to develop successful IPS execution plans.
You will be empowered to make departmental Supportability/IPS decisions on behalf of the Department Manager; you will steward the department's IPS competency.
You will prepare technical papers, lead supportability investigations, develop program metrics, and participate in internal/external agency assessments.
You will collaborate with the Department Chief Engineer (DCHENG) to represent the department in Command-level strategic initiatives and coordinate cross-divisional processes, initiatives, and Integrated Product Teams (IPTs).
You will contribute to developing, maintaining, evolving, and executing Command policy, strategy, and initiatives supporting current and future warfighter needs.
